11/17 responded from Three-year Old Group and 4/9 responded from Four-year Old Group.
Most responses were 'Strongly Agree' and positive. Areas for working on were goal-setting for the Three-year Old Group and informing parents of the weekly program in both.
Quality
Area 2: Children’s health and safety
'Strongly Agree' and 'Agree' for all responses, with positive comment on nose-blowing station.
Mostly positive 'Neither Agree or Disagree' marked once for 'Children
are supported to become environmentally responsible and show respect for the
environment.'
Positive feedback in both sections of feeling comfortable to approach Educators and that they work well together.
Quality
Area 5: Relationships with children
Mostly 'Strongly Agree' that children are encouraged to work with others and in collaborative situations.
Quality
Area 6: Collaborative partnerships with families and communities
One response disagreeing that 'I
receive current and sufficient information about the kindergarten'. All others positive. Comment that one enrolment form would be better, so this year we have re-implemented that. One comment asking for more 'community involvement'.
Quality
Area 7: Leadership and service management
All bar one response 'Strongly Agreed' that 'There are many
different models of the provision of 15 hours of 4 year old kindergarten. Is
the current operational structure (session times, length and days) suitable for
your child and family’s needs?'
Our Committee of
Management
Positive.
Communications
Positive, bar 'I
receive sufficient information regarding my child’s progress via portfolios,
weekly newspaper and weekly program outline' and 'I
regularly read the notices on display near the entrance and the community
notice board'. A comment asked 'what Newsletters?' and someone said they did not receive a handbook. Therefore a Newsletter was published each term and all enrolment forms were sent out from Kindergarten one parcel with a handbook this year to stop this happening again.
Facilities
Split between 'Excellent' and 'Satisfactory' and a comment that “Think more could be done with the back yard by
introducing something else there”. At the Committee Meeting last night it was decided to go ahead with a backyard update, shadesail was approved and a PVC pipe drive suggested to get the development rolling with a homemade water feature.
Parent Involvement
Positive for first two criteria, but comments and lower scores regarding goal-setting by staff for individual children.
Fees
Most preferred each term by EFT.
Fundraising
1. Income from the government funding and fees do not generally cover the
full cost of providing a kindergarten program. What approach to fundraising do
you prefer? .(Number denotes how
many families selected specific option)
2 Levy on all parents
2 No fundraising and
pay extra fees

Maintenance
